...Register With The Practice?

When you register with the practice, you will be invited to attend for a short entry medical with one of the health care assistants at which time your height, weight, blood pressure and urine will be checked. A mutual appointment will be arranged for the entry medical.

You will be invited to complete a patient questionnaire for every member of your family as your medical records take time to reach your new doctor.

...Obtain A Medical Certificate?

If you require a medical certificate from your doctor for six working days' absence or less, a private certificate will be issued for which there is a charge.
After the first week certificates are obtained as part of a consultation with a doctor. If you are under the care of a hospital doctor you may ask them to issue your certificate for an in-patient stay or an out-patient appointment.
