The Practice Building

Established over a hundred years ago, the practice is a busy, well resourced surgery striving to provide the highest possible standard of care for our patients.

The surgery is located in part of a newly refurbished health centre in the town centre and occupies most of the ground floor of the building. All the doctor and nurse consulting and treatment rooms are located close together. There is a large open plan waiting area set away from the consulting rooms to provide more privacy during consultations.

The treatment rooms are newly created and are well equipped, providing a range of health promotion and diagnostic assessment services. The reception and administration areas are modern and airy. The practice is fully computerised and is 'paperlight', including the appointment system, prescribing and patient health records.

The remainder of the building is occupied by Primary Care Trust attached staff providing outreach clinics for chiropody, enuresis, hearing, speech therapy and counselling.

There is a lift from the ground floor car park for less mobile patients and a ramp at the front of the building for disabled patients or babies in pushchairs.
